The university administration insists the new policy of tuition will stand for all new students joining this academic year. The Guild president says this is unfair and will block more students from joining the university especially those from humble backgrounds.

The students are also bitter about the policy of scrapping off meals from the halls of residence. The university proposes that each student residing in the university will be given shs.4000 per day for breakfast, lunch and supper; something the students say is unfair.
