Kawempe North MP Latif Ssebaggala yesterday tasked the leader of government business in parliament Amama Mbabazi during a question time season in parliament to explain whether it’s true that US government put a ban on travels of some government officials to USA.

Hon Ssebaggala said that the prime minister should clarify on the matter to parliament since some of the officials who were bunt from traveling to USA are MPs.

Mr Mbabazi while responding to the question he said that, he has also got information from the media regarding the suspension of government officials from travelling to USA.

He said that “I have already discussed the matter with the line minister of foreign Affairs Sam Kutesa and Uganda government is waiting for the official communication from US government to why they suspended some Uganda government officials from traveling to USA and the reason why” He said.

“Once Uganda government receives an official communication from the US government over the matter, we shall come out officially and inform the public” He confirmed.

Recently the media reported that US government put a ban on Uganda government official’s travels to USA for getting involved in the passage of Ant homosexuality Act which is a an abuse of the human rights.
