The Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) and the Uganda Police have joined hands to fight terrorism in the country with more vigilance and tightening security at different border points.

The Commander of the Lands Forces, David Muhoozi said on Monday that the move comes after increased attacks in neighboring Kenya and several threats to Uganda.

On Saturday the Police cyber unit arrested an Imam in Ntinda with literature on homemade explosives and some terrorism exhibits. The Imam was suspected to be harboring a plot to bomb the city.
