Uganda’s opposition members are in a move to fail the ongoing campaign to promote President Museveni’s sole candidature in the 2016 general elections. Former Forum for Democratic Change President, Col. Kiiza Besigye told residents of Nangabo ,Wakiso district on Thursday that the campaign must be brought to an end immediately ,adding that it is undemocratic.

He noted that though it is internally being run by the ruling National Resistance Movement party, they intend to frustrate it for the sake of other members within the party.

Besigye also added that they will fight to see to it that Museveni is not even one of the candidates in the upcoming Presidential elections.Beisgye who has lost to President Yoweri Museveni in the past presidential elections also announced he plans to hold other protests across the country to defy all unfair programs of government.

Other members of the opposition like Kyadondo East MP-Semuju Nganda,and Ingrid Turinawe also plan to fail the campaign.
