The Ministry of Health has announced that the deadly meningitis disease which had broken out in the West Nile sub –region, early this year has been contained.
The ministry says the disease was largely seen in areas that hosted refugees from South Sudan, but have now been contained.
The outbreak has seen at least 34,434 people in Adropi and Dzaipi sub-counties in Adjumani district immunized.
A total of 161 cases were recorded in eight districts.
