A nun identified as Sister Cristina Scuccia shocked judges at Italy’s The Voice after performing Alicia Keys’s “No one.”
The singing nun who is a member of the Ursuline Sisters of the Holy Family arrived at the show accompanied by four sisters from her community as well as her parents. With her awesome performance ,judges wondered if she was a real nun.
Scuccia shocked and impressed judges when she was asked her if she was really a nun, to which she replied, “Yes, I am truly, truly, a sister.”
“I came here because I have a gift, and I want to share that gift.” One of the judges, Italian rapper J-Ax, said he was “moved to tears.”
She said she had been inspired to go on the show by Pope Francis, who “told us to come out” of our convents and spread the word of God.
Asked by Judge Raffaella Carra what the Vatican thinks about her going on a talent show, she said: “I’m waiting for a call from the Pope!
