Parliament on Tuesday officially approved the newly appointed parliament commissioners. The new commissioners include Rosemary Sseninde (NRM), Nokrach William (NRM), Rose Akolo (NRM) and Regan Okum (FDC).They will serve for two and a half years.

All commissioners were appointed by their respective political parties and have replaced the old committee which included Jalia Bintu, Emmanuel Dombo, Chris Baryomunsi whose terms were not renewed due to the number of reasons.

The  commission’s role is to promote and exercise disciplinary control over persons holding public office in Parliament and also to review the terms and conditions of service, standing orders, training and qualifications  of persons holding office in Parliament;

The Commissioners of the 9th Parliament are comprised of:
1.    Speaker – Chairperson Rebecca Kadaga.
2.    Leader of Government Business Amama Mbabazi.
3.    Leader of Opposition Wafula Oguttu.
4.    Minister of Finance Maria Kiwanuka and the other Four back bench Members include Hon. Okumu Ronald Reagan, Nansubuga Seninde Rosemary,Akol Rose Okullu and Nokrach William Wilson.
