Col Felix Innocent Oula has officially been sworn in as a successor of Gen David Sejusa who was kicked out of parliament for dodging parliament work without the knowledge of the speaker.Col Oula’s swearing in was presided by the deputy speaker of parliament Jacob Oulanyah yesterday.
Col Oula committed himself to defend and protect the constitution of Uganda as the law established.
Oula beat other army officials to the army representation job with 62 votes in the election held at Bombo army headquarters in January .He was followed by the former deputy Chief of Defence Forces Maj Gen Joram Mugume who got 56 votes. The chief of production, Brig Jacob Musajjawaza, was third with 51 votes
Mr Sejusa who is replaced by Col Oula fell out with President Museveni last year over an alleged succession plan and later went into exile in London.
He later formed a political party and even declared war on the Ugandan government.
