Kanye West has got an opportunity of representing his own currency, a new Wetpaint Entertainment report published on Jan. 3 says. He has cleverly called the currency, “Coinye West.”the report adds
Kanye doesn’t actually own the company behind the currency, as he isn’t the face of the money. But one can imagine that he isn’t too upset to have his face plastered on money. Either this will be a success, or he will have plenty of lawsuits against the company.
“Our goal with Coinye West is to make it easier for people to use cryptocurrency,” the creators has revealed to Vice Magazine.
“Right now, it’s kind of a dark art for people to mine coins.” Only a certain number of coins will be given out to start with. “It will get people who are on the fence interested and help them to start using the currency, and we hope they’ll share it with their friends, too,” the makers told BBC.
The creators are hoping that Kanye will proudly endorse the coins, since they are created in his image.
