President Yoweri Museveni on Monday opened Wandegeya Market for use to traders.The market worth UGX22 billion in the city will accommodate hundreds of traders.
In his address while opening the market ,Museveni thanked the Kampala Capital City Authority ED,Jennifer Musisi for the good work and called for more efforts to develop the city .
The total of 800 vendors who were relocated for the construction of the market will be the first ones to occupy the market .The new vendors willing to occupy the market will have to apply to apply to KCCA.
Wandegeya market is one of the seven markets constructed in various towns across the country under the 70 billion dollar project funded by the African Development Bank.
