Uganda is expecting over 30000 visitors who will be viewing the Total Solar Eclipse on November 3 ,2013.
Uganda’s Minister for Tourism, Wildlife & Antiquities ,Maria Mutagamba ,told the press at a briefing at the Media Centre on Friday morning that so far ,10,000 visitors have confirmed that they will be here in Uganda to have the best view of the Total Eclipse in districts like Nebbi -Pakwach , Arua ,Masindi ,Gulu ,Lira and Soroti. The best spot to view the Eclipse in Uganda will be Pakwach.
She added that most of the visitors are scientists and government is expecting to make over 200Bn from the opportunity.
The Minister noted that they were constrained to market the opportunity because of budget constraints. “We did not take long.We were being held back by budget constraints” she noted
On November 3 ,a total solar eclipse will be visible across a narrow strip of Africa. The far northeastern United States will see a partial eclipse at sunrise.
