The Minister for Presidency Frank Tumwebaze said Thursday that the Kampala Capital City tribunal that probed Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago this year is set to release its report .
Addressing the press at Uganda Media Centre ,Minister Tumwebaze said that the report will be released by the end of this month-October .
“The long-awaited report will be out before the end of this month. The tribunal was expected to take one month but due to unavoidable delays, the judges asked for more time which I granted to have better results,” said Tumwebaze.
The Minister a few months ago instituted a tribunal chaired by Justice Catherine Bamugemereire to investigate claims by KCCA councilors that Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago was incompetent and had fallen short of convening meetings to steer business at City Hall.
He was accused of sabotaging work at KCCA among other things .The findings in the report will determine whether Erias Lukwago is to be kicked out of the authority or not .
