Former Vice President ,Prof Gilbert Bukenya has written another book criticizing President Yoweri Museveni’s form of leadership.
The Busiro North MP will launch his new book ‘In the Corridors of Power’ in December this year .Prof.Bukenya’s new book dwells on his experience in government from the time he was head of the Movement caucus in Parliament to his appointment as minister for the Presidency and later vice president. He starts the book by narrating how he was fired on phone by a State House employee.
He points out the weaknesses of President Museveni like the politics of patronage which have continued to affect service delivery in the country. He further notes that this, coupled with lack of good supervision of programs has made the country not realise value for money.
It is from these weaknesses that the professor draws the five pillars of his manifesto for his 2016 presidential campaign.
The book summaries Bukenya’s 2016 election manifesto in five points. He has so far revealed only two.
He plans to reveal the other three pillars in December when the book will be launched.
Agricultural transformation is key on his agenda. Bukenya wants the sector to get the lion’s share of the national budget.
