The National Information Technology Authority-Uganda (NITA-U) together with the Uganda Business Process Outsourcing Association (UBPOA) are organizing a 3-day regional BPO Leadership Conference.

The conference will run from 18th to 20th September 2013 at the Serena Hotel, Kampala.

Government aims at solving the problem of youth unemployment through business process outsourcing.

“The Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) Industry is one of the key areas Government of Uganda has identified as a long-term solution to addressing issues of unemployment amongst educated youths as well as to increase investment in area of Information Technology Enabled Services (ITES),” read a press statement release by NITA-U today.

The conference will also mark the official launch of the BPO incubation Centre.

The Conference will run under the theme “Optimizing BPO for Competitiveness.”
