A teenager realized what his dad did was not good so he decided to right his wrongs.
Shane Lunsford mugged an elderly lady who was at the time grieving the loss of her husband of 60 years. She was at his grave site in Bethany, Oklahoma; he had died the week before the visit. A surveillance video marked 39-year-old Shane and was arrested for the deed.
Lunsford’s 15-year-old son, Christian asked to meet Herndon last week, Sunday in a church parking lot. He apologized to Herndon and gave her $250 in cash returning the money his father was stolen. The money was meant for a band trip. “When I found out this whole situation, I didn’t know if it was hers or his or how — I just knew I needed to give the money to her,” he said.
Herndon however handed the money back to Christian saying, “He gave and I received, and I gave and he received, so it worked out.”
It is not clear how much money his father stole from Herndon however.
