Another royal baby is due and this time round, it is in Sweden.
The Swedish princess, Madeleine is pregnant with her first baby. Princess Madeleine and her husband are expecting their baby in March 2014. The baby news were announced yesterday Tuesday September 3rd by the royal court.
“Princess Madeleine and Mr. Christopher O’Neill are delighted to announce that The Princess is expecting their first child,” a statement on the Palace’s official website read. “No changes to the schedule of The Princess’s engagements and work for Childhood are planned during the fall of 2013.”
The 31-year-old princess is married to New York banker, O’Neill who proposed in October 2012.. The two got married earlier this summer in a lavish wedding at the Royal Palace Church in Stockholm on June 8. Princess Madeleine is the youngest child of King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia and fourth in line to the Swedish throne.
Madeleine was once engaged to lawyer, Jonas Bergstrom. “I have been sure all along that Madeleine was the one I wanted to marry,” he said in an interview about their engagement.
“I appreciate Chris for his warmth and his humor,” the princess gushed at the time. “He has a very big heart and he manages to make everyone in his presence feel good. Christopher is a very thoughtful and generous person.”
