Parliament on Monday signed a Memorandum of Understanding with China to promote parliamentary cooperation between the two countries.
The Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Rebecca Kadaga signed the pact with H.E Zhang Dejiang, the Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress (NPC) of the People’s Republic of China.
The two parliaments want to promote social cohesion ,solidarity and widest possible participation of their people in creation of prosperity.
The memorandum also aims at guiding the nationals of the two parliaments in fighting terrorism.,extremism,,separatism,and condemning terrorism in all forms.
Mr. Dejiang is also scheduled to meet the President, H.E Yoweri Museveni and the Prime Minister, Hon. Amama Mbabazi today.
