The former minister of ethics and integrity, Maria Matembe, has castigated the executive for attacking the speaker of parliament.
Matembe expressed her disgruntlement while speaking to journalists at parliament today .
She says that the ministers are serving the interests of the president which is different from the interests of parliament that the speaker is serving.
Matembe says that Kadaga has been trying to fight for the powers of parliament and running parliament as an institution, the approach the executive is opposed too.
Matembe also advised the speaker to concentrate on redeeming the independence of parliament before thinking of standing as a president in 2016.
She also said that the current situation in Uganda does not favour anyone who is opposed to the style of governance that is currently being used.
She says that the country needs the fundamental change caused by the people themselves but not people who have the capacity to rule the country.
She further asked the public to come out and support the speaker saying that any time the NRM party MPs might now move to vote her out of her office.
