More than 80 people in Bududa district are homeless following the destruction of their homes by landslides which hit the area on Monday this week.
The landslides that hit over five villages in Bumayoka Sub county followed torrential rains which pounded the area for hours.They destroyed many gardens and property but no death has been reported so far .
Bududa district chairman John Baptist Nambashe has called upon government to evacuate people left in very risky areas .
“Over 60 households living below a crack in Bamayoka ,Bulucheke and Bushinyi sub counties should be evacuated as a matter of urgency to avoid loss of human life in case a landslide occures ” He said
