Actress Kate Bosworth got married over the weekend to her Labor Day weekend wedding to director, Michael Polish.
The bride wore an ivory gown by designer Oscar de la Renta. The simple strapless ball gown featured a dramatic, romantic twist: an 8-foot-long, 16-foot-wide train that cascaded over the Montana mountaintop where the couple was married at sunset. “It’s a dress that reflects the love I have for my partner, it’s a reflection on my life, it’s a reflection on the woman I’ve become,” Bosworth said in an exclusive interview with Vogue Weddings. “There is just so much poetry and elegance to it.”
She went on to talk about her dress saying, “I love the dress because when you see the front it feels so minimal and then you turn around and there’s this dramatic, sort of glorious fall of the fabric. It looks like it has weight and a heaviness to it, yet it feels light as air.”
The veil was cut to be proportioned with the gown’s hemline.
Bosworth met Polish in 2011 on the set of the movie “Big Sur,” and has said it was “love at first sight.” She and Polish exchanged vows in an intimate ceremony in front of 60 friends and family members at Montana’s The Ranch at Rock Creek. Bosworth arrived in a horse-drawn stagecoach.
