Gulu District local Government has passed a budget of Shs 40bn for the 2013/2014 financial year.
John Oola, the Gulu town Clerk while passing the budget said that 2013/2014 budget was small compared to the 2012/2013 financial year.
Engineering took the bigger percentage of Shs 28bn because of the poor state of roads in the district.
Education took Shs 0.6bn in the 2013/2014 financial year.
Martin Ojara Mapenduzi, the Chairman LC 5 for Gulu urged all the councilors to work hard in the 2013/2014 financial year saying that there are still a lot needed to be done in the region after over 20 years of LRA Insurgency.
