Two women in Lagos Nigeria are blinking from behind bars for fighting for a man in public .
Ogechi Nmerenini, 23 and Bilikisu Akinyode, 22, were remanded in prison on the orders of the Apapa Magistrates’ Court, Lagos, western Nigeria.
Nmerenini and Akinyode pounced on each other at Atebo Street after discovering that they were dating the same man identified as Ema.
They held each other while hitting each other hard attracting a large crowd.
Police swung into action and separated them immediately. Police charged the two with disturbing public peace.
Appearing before the Magistrate ,they pleaded not guilty and were granted bail of N20,000.
However ,they could not immediately meet the conditions attached to the bail and were remanded for that matter.
They will appear before the same court on September 6,2013.
