St. Stella Foundation, a community based organisation set up to give information on maternal and child health intervention services in Uganda has won a trip to Ghana.
St Stella foundation which is run by Elizabeth Lamunu and Stella Birungi from Kampala, Bunga was recognized during a trade exhibition in Gulu.
The foundation was awarded Us Dollars 1,000 for a mass trade fair trip to Ghana which is slated for December 2013.
Elizabeth Lamunu, who is the General Secretary for St. Stella Foundation told Uganda Picks that they did not expect to win the exhibition.
“On the first day Rain Interrupted our business and later in the evening electricity was not there. We thought we could not make it in Gulu”, Lamunu explained.
The trade show was organized by Partners wild wide.
Traders from USA, Ghana, Kenya, Tanzania, DR Congo and South Sudan among others also attended the trade show in Gulu.
