The Aruu County MP Samuel Odonga Otto has said that the Acholi Parliamentary Group has collapsed due to party differences.
Otto while talking in Gulu on Monday morning said that the Acholi Parliamentary group is full of party differences.
“We are just like sheep and Lions .We cannot live together under the same roof”, Otto said.
He also threatened that he may stop paying his monthly contribution to the group.
“The group has so far taken 6 months without any meeting and me as a member I have now stopped paying the Shs 400,000/= as membership fee”, Otto explained.
Otto said that he does not see any future in the group if Hon Jacob Oulanya is still in parliament.
“Every time we meet as Acholi parliamentary group, our plans are foiled that means that some of us are spying for State House”, Otto said.
Gilbert Olanya, the Secretary for the Acholi Parliamentary group when asked confirmed the party differences in the Acholi parliamentary group.
Olanya who is also the MP for Kilak said that he was also disappointed by some of the members of the when he asked for support over the Amuru land.
“When I called Acholi Parliamentary group to help me over the Madivani group who are taking Amuru land, very few MPs supported me and the rest turned me down”, Olanya explained.
Olanya also added that there is need for sanity among the Acholi MPs for Acholi region to develop.
“When you ask the rest of the MPs from other region, you find them very much organized and ours are fighting party differences day and night. There is also greed among us ”, Olanya added.
