Kapchorwa town where Uganda’s Marathon star hails from partied for the second day over the victory of their son on Moscow.Rich business residents organized a street parties for town dwellers and those who moved from nearby villages.
The proprietor of Tolosho Investment Agency, an electrical shop in Kapchorwa town, Denis Batya, threw a street party for the residents to celebrate the victory.
The proprietor Kapchorwa Paradise Hotel, Paul Mumya, also organised a free drama and music show and offered all district athletes meals at his hotel free of charge for two days.
“Our strategy is to encourage more athletes in Sebei region to strive and make it on the world platform,” Mumya told news reporters.
Meanwhile many drinking joints have remained in a jovial mood waiting for Kiprotich to step on the land to open fresh celebration.
