Janet Jackson who got married to her billionaire Saudi Arabia boyfriend last year has more four years to go in case she intends to profit anything from her marriage.
According to a prenuptial agreement between Janet and her husband, Wissam Al Mana, she is expected to stay in her marriage for at least five years before divorce if she wants to get money out of her marriage. The agreement was drawn up by her husband himself, Wissam in which he said that 47-year-old Janet will receive up to $500 million if she stays married to him for at least five years.
This means that if she wants to divorce and get out with a divorce settlement, she needs to wait for five years to be entitled to Wissam’s money in the first place.
This year, Janet landed herself on the billionaires list according to Variety which said that she earned $458 million in concert tours, $304 million from acting roles, $260 million in album sales, and more than $81 million from tour sponsorships and licensing fees. The different gigs saw her money accumulate and reach the land mark of one billion.
