Youths in Gulu district have condemned Enterprise Uganda for failing to give them capital for their businesses.
They claim that during the training in 2012, Enterprise Uganda promised them capital to start up businesses but they have never seen the money.
They say it would be useless if Enterprise Uganda keep training them without giving them capital to start businesses.
“We hear that Enterprise is to train another 10,000 youth in Northern Uganda but why are they not giving us the money they promised for our businesses? Let them give us the money and we begin our business”, one of the youths complained.
Navinson James Kidega, the Resident District Commissioner for Gulu also echoed the concerns of the youth in Gulu.
“Many of them have been waiting for their funds from Enterprise Uganda to start their businesses and they claim they promised them in 2012”, Kidega said at a meeting held at Churchill courts Hotel in Gulu.
