Prince Gabula Nadiope IV of Bugabula chiefdom is to be unveiled as the new Kyabazinga (king) of Busoga on September 9th,this year .
Saalam Msuumba who chairs the organizing committee for the event says it’s time for the Basoga to unite as a community through Gabula 25, as the Kyabazinga.
The post of Kyabazinga has been vacant ,under contention by two princes ,Gabula and Bulamogi Prince ,Columbus Wambuzi.
Prince Gabula Nadiope was first unveiled as Kyabazinga (king) of Busoga in 2008.However ,the group supporting the crowning of Prince Columbus Wambuzi sprung up and claimed that Gabula was not the rightful owner of the thrown.
Prince Columbus Wambuzi ,son of former king Henry Wako Wambuzi was thus also ‘crowned’ Kyabazinga of Busoga Kingdom at ceremony at Bugembe.
Busoga has been without a Kyabazinga since the death of Henry Wako Muloki on September 1 2008.
