A company has made a basket ball out of leather and it does not come cheap.
The ball costs a whooping $12,900 roughly sh33 million. The ball is the product of Hermès. It is handstitched calfskin leather and is crafted in the style of the company’s ‘Birkin’ bag/ The ball is to be used to promote the company’s reopened 12,000-square-foot Beverly Hills “boutique” shop.you.
The ball is colored in deep blue stands for “the sky, the ocean and all the beautiful pools that are a way of life in LA and Southern California,” according to Robert Chavez, American CEO of Hermès.
“The leather is sturdy,” Chavez said. “Why not make such a unique item come to life on the court?” There are only two of these balls in existence and to attain one, Hermès will hook you up.
