Civil servants in Kayunga District, who attained new responsibilities in the recently concluded Ssabanyala 5th coronation event, are on tension after the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) cautioning them over their new responsibilities.
CAO, James Nkata in an exclusive interview with Uganda Picks revealed that its an abomination for a civil servant to serve as a government employee & at the same time as a cultural leader.
He has urged them to either resign from one task or turn down the new appointments in order to retain their jobs.
James Rwebikire (NAADS Coordinator – Kayunga Sub County) now appointed as the Information Minister in the Ssabanyala Chiefdoom, Dan Lwanga (District Cashier) appointed as Finance Minister, Lameck Mulindwa (Ass. CAO incharge of Bbaale County) appointed as the Foreign Affairs Minister among others are some of the Civil servants likely to lose their jobs over the recent responsibilities attained from the Ssabanyala chiefdom.
Efforts to reach a number of those Civil servants were fruitless.
