Baguma Isoke ,the former State Minister for Lands has been appointed as new chairman of the Uganda Land Commission (ULC).
Baguma was appointed by President Museveni to replace the commission’s longest serving chairman, Jehoash Mayanja-Nkangi. Nkangi’s two year term expired sometime back.
Other members of the commission ,whose names have been forwarded to the Speaker of Parliament, Rebecca Kadaga, for approval include;Janat Mukwaya, the former Minister for General Duties in the Prime Minister’s Office, former MP Winfred Masiko, Ruth Alinyikira, Joseph Kasaija, Margaret Akello, Nelly Badaru, Johnson Okwil Okello and Charles Muhozi.
Parliament is yet to set the date for vetting the appointees.
