The acting chief justice Steven Kavuma has vowed to sack drunkards, absentees and late coming judicial officials in this country
In his massage delivered by the principal judge Yorocam Bamwine whom he delegated has said that said that the dignity, glory of the judiciary has declined due to irresponsible officials and there is need to deal with such officials if the judiciary is to regain its past glory.
These remarks have been made at colline hotel while addressing judicial officials at the official opening of a three day judicial conference under a theme “managing modern and responsive judiciary.
He has added that they have to be accommodative to all irrespective of one’s work, financial status, political back ground and religion.
Justice Kavuma has called upon the new judicial officials to emulate their seniors in order to deliver effectively.
The minister for constitutional and judicial affairs Hon. Kahinda Otaffire has expressed his dismay over officials who give lenient sentences to government officials who engage in Embezzlement of National resources.
Otaffire has said that he is not happy about their salaries and promised to advocate for an increment.
