Speaking from their offices in Gulu , the claimants claimed they were shocked to find that part of their money was deducted to pay their executives.
John Ojwiya of Omoro sub County in Gulu claimed that he has been moving in Gulu town for over 2 years to get compensated but found part of his money missing .
“I have been moving here for many years to get compensation for my cows but they have deducted Shs 66,000/ from each of my cows”, Ojwiya explained
George Opio the Publicist Secretary of the Acholi war Debt Claimant Association confirmed the problem when contacted.
“That is much true. The government gave Shs 5bn for the compensation. We are investigating the allegation and we shall have to put them to book”, Opio explained.
