The acting United Arab Emirates Ambassador to Uganda Musleh Ayedh S. Al Ahbabi met the Mufti of Uganda Sheikh Shaban Ramadhan Mubaje in his office at the UMSC Headquarters Old Kampala.

During the meeting, the two discussed a number of issues which included the strengthening of ties between the UAE government and Uganda Muslim Supreme Council.

The Mufti commended the Ag. Ambassador in particular and the UAE government in general for investing heavily in both Islamic and secular education which he said have brought about rapid development of the country.

He informed his guest about UMSC’s working slogan of unity and development noting that it is not only about uniting and developing Muslims in Uganda but also about uniting with all peace loving people worldwide and developing with them.

In his remarks, the Ag. Ambassador E Musleh Ayedh S. Al Ahbabi applauded the Mufti of Uganda Sheikh Shaban Ramadhan Mubaje for demonstrating patience and maturity in leading Muslims in Uganda.

He said the purpose of his courtesy call to the Mufti was to assure him in particular and Ugandan Muslims in general that his government’s doors are open for continued cooperation in Islamic and other development endeavors.
