Keyo Secondary school has been closed due to a student’s  strike  which occurred on Sunday

The strike left school  property destroyed and teachers had to flee the school premises  to save  their life from the furious students.

The students during the strike claimed they were being poorly fed . They also claimed that they were being intimidated by their watch man who moves with a gun at night, the only time they claimed is suitable for their night studies among others claims.

They threatened that they would continue with the strike unless Michael Labeja ,their head teacher resolve their challenges.

Atkinson Ojara, the chairman LC III for Lamogi sub County in Amuru district where the school is found blamed the School Administrators for taking long to address the matter.

Ojara thinks that if  the matter was brought before them by the students it should have been resolved once and for all.

Stanleo Owachi, the Secretary for Health and Education in Amuru district condemned the strike saying that they need to sit down with the administrators of the  school to resolve the matter.

Keyo Secondary school is one of the few Secondary schools in Amuru district.
