After president Museveni compensated shs5 million to each house hold of the Namungoona fuel tank victims, Kyotera county MP Haruna Kyeyune has written to the president asking him also to compensate the orphans and family members of those who have been murdered in cold blood in Rakai District.

20 people have been murdered in cold blood in numerous sub counties of Rakai.

According to the letter dated 3rd July, Mr Kyeyune complains to the president that in all these cases police has tried to investigate but the murders continue to happen.

He also argues , that while the assailants have continued to take innocent lives to date, the security establishment in the country has not responded with the force required.

The MP further requested the president to visit the area and get  testimonies from the affected people in order to provide them with help.

Mr Kyeyune wants president Museveni to give special attention to the people of Rakai since it is life being lost and people are in fear of sleeping in their homes.

In what appears to be carefully planned attack, the assailants come in the night; dig holes in the buildings before entering and hacking their victims to death.
