By Our Reporter

Kasese district woman MP Winnie Kiiza has attributed the clashes in Rwenzururu kingdom on president Museveni saying that they are State House managed.

This comes after the police blocked the Rwenzururu king Charles Wesley Mumbere from traveling to Bundibugyo over the weekend following reports that the visit would cause insecurity since the Bamba who are the majority in the district do not recognize Mumbere as their king.

Winnie Kiiza who doubles as Opposition chief whip in Parliament says that the President has played a key role in dividing the kingdom the same way he has done in other kingdoms like Buganda, Busoga and Bunyoro.

She further requested parliament to move quickly with the investigation into the clashes between the Bamba and Basongora in order to find a solution to the problems.

Relatedly Kiiza has also called the minister for gender to explain to parliament the boundaries and fate of cultural leaders in the country.
