The Resident District Commissioner Lwengo Grace Kabayo has ordered for disciplinary action against the in -Charge of Kyazanga Health Centre IV Dr. Steven Mirembe over poor sanitation.

Kabayo said during her tour of the health facility she found bedbugs and fleas in general, male and children’s wards and attributed them to poor sanitation.

The district health department to take disciplinary action against

Kyazanga Town Council LC3 Chairperson claims that some residents have shunned the health centre due to bedbugs and fleas.

He notes that members of the Town Council Health Service Committee team, who toured the health center recently found the wards very dirty.

Lwengo LC5 Chairman George Mutabaazi, wonders how the 4 million shillings allocated to the health facility by district every quarter under PHC for cleaning is spent.

Lwengo district Medical officer Dr. Ronald Kaye, says he plans to summon Dr. Steven Mirembe to explain the state of affairs at the health centre before taking any action.
