Parliament yesterday finally approved the 46.9 billion shillings supplementary budget for the salaries of civil servants after the house rising quorum.
The budget was passed amidst MPs warning Government to produce the accountability of these funds.
The speaker of parliament Rebecca Kadaga directed the budget committee to scrutinize the request that was brought to the house one day after the National budget following the discontent by the MPs who were not at par with the reasons for the supplementary budget.
The supplementary budget is to cater for the salaries of teachers, Doctors, Civil servants at the missions abroad, State House and outstanding bills for utilities-electricity, water, fuel, maintenance of vehicles, classified expenditure, and travels inland and training for police among others.
