A close friend to Pan Africanist Nelson Madiba Mandela who was admitted in a Pretoria Hospital close to three days says that it is time for South Africa to let Mandela go.
On Sunday during the National Prayers Mandela’s longtime friend Andrew Mlangeni said that “the time has come to for South Africans to say goodbye to the beloved icon”
“You have been coming to the hospital too many times. Quite clearly you are not well and there is a possibility you might not be well again,” Mlangeni said.
“Once the family releases him, the people of South Africa will follow. We will say thank you, God, you have given us this man, and we will release him too,” Mlangeni added.
Mandela was admitted on Saturday after suffering a recurring lung infection attack.
He has been for long under medical supervision and according to close sources his history of lung problems started way back when he was a political prisoner on Robben Island during apartheid.
