Nelson Mandela’s eldest daughter, Makaziwe Mandela has opened up about her father’s condition stating that he is very critical.
Today morning, there were news that the 94-year-old South African hero and former president was on life support. At the moment, the Mandela family has gathered again at the hospital to visit him.
“I re-iterate that tata is very critical that anything is imminent. But I want to emphasize again that it’s only God who knows when the time to go is and so we will wait with him, with Tata, as long for us as a family, he’s still giving us hope opening his eyes he’s still reactive to touch we will live with that hope until the final end comes.”
Mandela also known as Madiba is in a Pretoria hospital for the 20th day after he was rushed there since June 8th. He is being treated for a recurring lung infection.
Mandela’s condition has forced President Jacob Zuma to cancel his trip to Mozambique.
US President Barrack Obama intends to visit the ailing statesman before he passes away as he holds the first ever African tour since his being elected as the president way back in 2005.
