Former FDC president Col Kiiza Besigye has been arrested.
Besigye was arrested on Tuesday morning as he tried to leave his home to the city centre.
FDC women league leader, Ingrid Turinawe says that Besigye was this morning informed that he will not be allowed to access town indefinitely.
His arrest comes just five days after he was arrested as he was heading to Kiseka Market in a fracas that led to the death of at least one person.
Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago and other opposition figures were also arrested and detained on the same date.
The opposition leaders were planning to hold a rally in downtown Kampala with the Mayor as part of his efforts to appeal to his supporters in the face of a campaign to remove him from office.
