Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago has fainted ahead of the tribunal meeting which is going to determine if an investigation into his actions should take place as a precedence to determine whether or not he should be dethroned of his role as Kampala Lord Mayor.
According to reports on the ground, Lukwago has been rushed to hospital to receive medical attention.
Lukwago had arrived at Metrople Hotel to face the tribunal before fainting.
It all comes after a stand-off with police which used teargas to disperse a crowd accompanying him to Kampala. He was forced in a security van before heading to the hotel.
At the moment, police is still heavily deployed in Kampala around the areas of Kisekka market were tear gas was fired to disperse a crowd which had gone to meet former Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) party president, Dr. Kizza Besigye who had gone to the market for personal shopping. Besigye has been out of the crowd.
