Enock Jackson Ssentubiro was allegedly picked up from a small room in Bamunanika village where he was allegedly found raping a 20-year-old woman.
Wamala Region Police spokesperson Phillip Mukasa, says police acted on a tip off from some residents who heard the rape victim crying for help.
The rape victim, whose identities have been withheld told Police that she was coming from the bathroom when Ssentubiro grabbed her and locked her up inside her room.
According to Mukasa, the woman tried to fight off ssentubiro but he overpowered her and went ahead to rape her. He says the rape victim sustained injuries while wrestling her attacker.
Before he was picked up, Ssentubiro pleaded for forgiveness from the victim and signed an agreement promising to meet her treatment costs.

Ssentubiro claimed that he has been in love with the victim for over two months and freely entered in her house.
