US president Barack Obama will engage with Ugandan Youth Via Satellite  from South Africa.

According to a statement from the Nairobi US Embassy seen by Standard Digital News Kenya ,Obama  will  respond to questions from youth from Kampala during a 75 minute live broadcast television event.

The discussion will be live on NTV Uganda and is expected to attract a large audience.

Obama will also engage with youth from Kenya as well as those from Lagos, Nigeria from the studio audience in South Africa .

Obama is currently heading to South Africa where he is expected to visit the ailing former South African President Nelson Mandela.

He has so far visited Senegal .In Senegal, Obama visited  the Goree Island slave house where hundreds of slaves were kept in tiny cells and chained for up to three months when they waited for their ships to arrive .Obama said it was a reminder for why civil rights need to be protected.
