Action Aid Mubende had today released its findings on gender based violence cases with Domestic violence cases leading the findings.

The report indicates that 44 cases were reported in May and out of these some have been handled and others referred to court and police while some pending investigations.

Speaking to the press while releasing this report at Action Aid Offices in Mubende this morning, the projects coordinator Ms Stella Atunyo said among the cases reported are inheritance, land grabbing from orphans, men abandoning responsibilities over children in multiple marriages, among others

She however appealed to the public not to suffer in silence but always to report to police however advised men to stop getting into relationships outside marriages, because the report indicated that this is the cause for men abandoning children.
