3 passengers are confirmed dead and 7 are critically injured about 100 Km off Juba road on Saturday evening.
The police have confirmed that the accident happened at a village called Obama when a Fuso truck registration Number UAT 640A, overturned.
Patrick Jimmy Okema the Police spokesperson for the Aswa region said that the Fuso Truck was also carrying 128 goats to Juba when the accident happened.
Okema identified the dead as; David Ikwe, Munu Ambros the chairman LC III for Kole County, and one only identified during the press time as Owache.
Okema said that those in critical condition were admitted in Jubba Hospital but were later transferred on Saturday to St. Mary’s Hospital Lacor in Gulu district.
He identified them as; Lambart Ityeng, Fred Tamba 32 a resident of Nakasongola who broke all his legs during the accident, Jaspher Odik of Lira, and Moses Ipok.
Others are; Daniel Akera 40 resident of Kole, Betty Ongom 40 of Lira, and Moses Icep.
Okema suspects that driver of the Fuso Truck could have been over speeding.
“You know from that village Obama, the road is very good and most times the drivers tend to over speed. That might have caused the truck to overturn”, Okema explained.
