Denise Richards and ex husband, Charlie Sheen in court over a custody case of who will keep the children of Sheen’s wife, Brooke Mueller after she checked into rehab.
Richards wants to continue taking care of the children as Mueller recovers and needs the support of Sheen to see that happen. Mueller checked herself into rehab to be treated for “prescription drug abuse” according to Mueller’s rep. She went into rehab last week.
Richards and Sheen were seen together at court in Los Angeles Tuesday where the judge was set to rule on whether Richards would continue to care for four-year-old twins Bob and Max during Mueller’s current stay in rehab.
Mueller’s twin boys were removed from her home on May 2 by the L.A. County of Department of Children and Family Services due to an “unsafe environment.” According to a TMZ report, the judge is “allowing Denise to keep the kids for now.”
Sheen released a statement shortly after his children were taken from Mueller’s home. “Charlie supports the actions of the Department of Children and Family Services,” a representative for Sheen told the News. “He knows Max and Bob are safe and in a stable, loving environment with Denise and the boys’ sisters. Charlie will fully cooperate and fully participate in all proceedings.”
Richards herself has twin girls for Sheen Sam J. Sheen (born March 9, 2004) and Lola Rose Sheen (born June 1, 2005).
