The Uganda Wild Life Authority public Relations manager has said that Government is to acquire 800 Million Dollar from World Bank to improve on the tourism sector.
Lillian Nsubuga while talking to the journalist from the Albertine region in Kampala said that the 800 Million Dollars will help in improving the transports sector under Uganda Wild Life Authority.
Nsubuga said that among the things that they have put in place is to acquire buses which would carry tourist from Kampala to different Game parks and other tourism centres.
“The buses are going to be luxurious in a way that they will all have air conditioning facilities for the tourists in Uganda”, Nsubuga said.
She added that the numbers of tourists in Uganda were increasing as compared to other years which have earned Uganda a lot of money in the tourism sector.
“We received over 803 Million shillings in 2012 from Tourism alone”, Nsubuga said.
Nsubuga said that Murchison Falls and Queen Elizabeth National Game parks are among the busiest parks in Uganda where tourists flock every month.
She also praised Ugandans for setting up good Hotels and other Hospitality industries saying that if the trend continues, more tourists would come to Uganda.
