Education authorities in Tororo district have issued a strong warning to heads of government aided and private educational institutions against giving misguiding information during the 2013 education census.

The warning was issued by the district education officer; Mr. Yonah Gamusi Doya while addressing all heads of government aided educational institutions in the district at the district chambers.

There were reports that some of the educational institutions in the district give inaccurate information in an attempt to either get more grants for government aided institutions or to dodge taxes[for private owned educational institutions]

He said the information they give must be accurate to guide government during planning and decision making and giving false information will automatically misguide government to take wrong decisions.

Doya said the exercise will cover all pre-primary, primary, secondary, primary teachers training colleges and Business training and vocational education training colleges
